Unmasking true beauty

Kate, a young student, moves through a world ruled by rigid beauty standards, where every glance feels like judgment. Between mirrors, classrooms, and quiet moments of doubt, she struggles to reconcile who she is with who she is expected to be. Under the weight of conformity, her identity begins to fracture. Unmasking True Beauty is a sensitive, symbolic short film that explores beauty through self-image, inner voices, and the fragile journey toward self-acceptance.

biography

We are Kim and Maëlle, first-year BBA students at NEOMA. For our theater final project, we created this short film about identity and beauty. Kim dreams of cinema, Maëlle of pop culture and its analysis. Together, we explore beauty in a sincere and universal way.
